House rules
- Shoes offPlease leave shoes in the mudroom. House slippers are provided to protect the soft pine floors.
- Smoke outsideNo smoking in the house. Outdoor ashtrays are available, along with a humidor for cigars.
- Grill resetAfter use, clean and cover the grill, and make sure the barbecue gas dial is turned off. Kitchen-basket tools include foil, skewers, and spray seasonally.
- Respect the groundsNo shooting animals on the property. Please also stay clear of the farmer’s barns, equipment, hay, and wood.
- Fire + trashExtinguish fires before bed, especially in dry months. Keep food and garbage contained so animals stay away from the house.

The swimming pond is deep and rocky. Bring water shoes and life vests; swim at your own risk.

Let the hosts know whether the group will handle morning/evening geese care or would like the caretaker to do it.

Drop used towels and bath robes on the laundry-room floor.
Secure
Lock all doors and windows.
Power down
Turn off candles, lights, A/C, grill, stove, and fireplaces.
Garbage
Bring tied, bagged garbage to the courtyard container and close it securely.
